From Fly Fishing in the Black Forest to Golf in Badenweiler...

Fly fishing and golf in Badenweiler go hand and hand, thanks to the Rhine!

If you have devoted yourself to fly fishing in the Black Forest, then you can pursue this hobby perfectly at the Altrhein River.  Of course, there are plenty of other streams and rivers in the region that also invite you to fish.

Guided hikes, excursion to sport and leisure pools, Nordic walking or a visit to the tennis park are just some of the possibilities of getting some exercise. They perfectly round off golf in Badenweiler and fishing in the Black Forest.

Fly fishing

Golf du Rhin is located in the midst of the magnificent nature reserve between the Rhine and the canal parallel to the Rhine. This is also where our fly fishing district in the Black Forest begins. The natural Altrhein River stretches out over 14km with a width of 70 to 100 metres and a depth of one to two metres.  The diversity of species spreads from grayling, rainbow trout, perch, pike, sometimes walleye, lots of chub, barbel, catfish (in certain places) and various species of whitings.

"The fascinating part of fly fishing is the tranquillity when you are sitting alone at the water. You forget time and everything around you, you completely lose yourself. After a while, the river absorbs you, the water flows through you, you become one with the water."
Stuart Moultrie, Fly fishing guide
